full financial plan - Elite members
All Members of REI Super with balances over $100,000 are invited to join REI Super Elite. Part of the Elite service is the preparation of an initial financial plan on your superannuation arrangements at a subsidised cost.
What is the process?
You will be sent a questionnaire, asking lots of questions about you, your financial and personal goals, your attitude to investing and your financial position. Completion of this is essential for us to make a complete and appropriate assessment of your financial needs. If you have difficulty with this document (and it is long and tedious) we can assist you in completing it over the phone.
Your questionnaire will be evaluated by a licensed financial adviser, who will put together a written report recommending how your account can be personalised and what financial strategies may be beneficial for you to implement. This will be presented to you, in person where possible, within about six weeks from us receiving your personal information.
If you choose to proceed with your recommendations, we can assist you in implementing them.
Why do we do this?
Everyone is different and in order to evaluate which options and strategies are most appropriate for you we need to be able to personalise them.
In addition, it is a legal requirement for the Fund to understand you, your lifestyle and financial needs, before making any recommendation on which you might act.
What if I don’t want to provide personal information?
Personal information is critical in preparing recommendations for you. If you provide no or incomplete information about your situation we may not be able to assist you with advice.
To ensure that you make the most of all the various features and benefits of REI Super Elite, your membership of this category includes an initial one hour consultation with a financial adviser to set up your investment strategy and appropriate insurances.
This initial appointment is complimentary, following which you will have the option to be provided with a personal financial advice and a written report containing your personal recommendations. You will be advised in advance of any costs this might entail.
Ongoing service
Your initial financial plan is subsidised by your membership of REI Super. In time, or should your circumstances change, you may require additional advice. This may range from a plan review to a full formal review and new financial plan. In this circumstance you may be asked to contribute to the cost of the preparation of advice. Any costs would be advised in advance and upfront.
