My Super experience

'REI Super is much more than an online portal'.

It was very interesting speaking with Vanessa about her superannuation experience. Like most people starting out in their working life super was not a high priority at that time in her life and something she paid little attention to until quite some time later.

‘When I started my first job in real estate my employer simply signed me up with REI Super as part of the onboarding process. It was the industry fund so I didn’t question anything or pay much attention to my account for many years until I started with Harcourts.’

‘REI Super partners with the Harcourts national network and this was a real eye-opener for me. As a Business Partner, REI Super provides super information at events such as our annual conference, the annual Australian Leadership Conference, at state-based events like Kickstart and they provide support for our Quarterly and Annual Awards.’

‘It was at one of these events where I was seated with Chris D’Astoli, Business Development Manager (BDM), where we started talking super. The more we talked the more I understood what could be achieved when engaging with your super and how important it can be not only for me but also for the people I’m entrusted to support and educate in the Harcourts family.’

‘Chris and the entire BDM team are now involved with Harcourts' agencies Australia-wide to assist them with understanding their super obligations and support staff with super tips and advice to make the most of their super opportunity, not the least of which being the insurance cover they can get through their super.’

‘Another thing that impressed me was how much information there was and what you can do through the website. With my husband recently changing jobs this caused us to focus on our superannuation and get advice. It’s great to know that REI Super provides super advice over the phone and can provide retirement and comprehensive advice at very competitive rates.’

‘I am now engaged with my super and an advocate in the workplace, that personal connection with the people in the fund is so important – REI Super is much more than an online portal.’
