What employers should check before EOFY
Before 30 June 2026, employers should take time to:
- Review contribution payment schedules to ensure nothing is delayed
- Check that recent super payments have successfully reached employees’ super fund accounts
- Allow sufficient processing time when making payments close to EOFY
- Confirm you’re using the right payment method for your business
Making these checks now can help avoid processing delays and reduce admin pressure at year‑end.
Preparing for Payday Super from 1 July 2026
Payday Super begins from 1 July 2026, introducing changes to how and when super contributions are paid.
Under Payday Super, super contributions will generally be made at the same time as employees’ salaries and wages, rather than quarterly. This represents a change to existing contribution processes and payroll timing.
Employers can access further information on what this change means, including:
- Upcoming key dates and transition milestones
- What employers should review or prepare for next
- How payroll and payment processes may be affected
- Guidance and resources to support planning and implementation
More information is available on our Payday Super information page.
