Cyber Safety

Risk Profile Icon

At REI Super, we have cyber-security as a top priority to protect members’ accounts and retirement balances.

For many Australians, super is likely to be one of their largest assets after their home, and like your home it needs protecting.

Your Security is Our Priority

We will never ask you to disclose your password or sensitive account information via email or SMS. If you receive any suspicious communication claiming to be from REI Super, do not respond and contact us directly on 1300 13 44 33.

Secure Member Login – What’s Changing

  • Starting December 2025, REI Super will upgrade the member login process for enhanced security.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required for every login.
  • You’ll need your member details.
  • Ongoing access: Log in with your email and strong-secure password, and follow MFA prompts.
  • Password Recovery: If you forget your password, click forgot password link on the login screen and follow the prompts.

What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

MFA is a security measure requiring two or more proofs of identity (e.g. password + SMS code or authenticator app). It significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access even if one credential is compromised. Learn more at Cyber.gov.au MFA Guide.

Protect Your Personal Information

  • Use strong passwords and update them regularly.
  • Shred personal documents and secure devices with antivirus software.

Beware of Unsolicited Calls and Financial Advice

Unsolicited calls offering financial advice or requesting sensitive information are on the rise. We will never call you to ask for your password or confidential account details. If you receive a call claiming to be from REI Super or another financial institution and you’re unsure of its legitimacy, hang up and contact us directly on 1300 13 44 33.
